We have a new episode today, based on a thread about naan bread found on Pinterest. Special thanks to reader Mandy for finding this one!

I also wanted to remind you that Rob Paulsen and I will be doing a live show tonight at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Theater at Universal Citywalk:

If you’re in Los Angeles and want to see the show, click here for tickets and other information.

If you’d rather watch live streaming from the comfort of your own hovel, click here for information at UStream. All the fun of a live show, with none of that pesky showering!

Hope you can make it!

Live stream costs $4.99. A portion of each sale will benefit The Wounded Warrior Project.

What are you doing Friday? Say, 8:00? If you said, “Having fun,” you were wrong.

Instead, I’d like to suggest you give this a try:

Rob Paulsen and I will be at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Theatre on February 8th, reading some of my favorite hate mail. We’ll be performing your flounces and angry Tweets and bad book reviews in a variety of cartoon voices. If you live in Los Angeles and want to come see whatever the hell this is, click here for tickets and show information.

Our friends at UStream are going to broadcast this LIVE, so you can see it wherever you are. You can chat, you can complain, you can heckle us, and you can submit questions for the Q & A part of the show. And if you can’t watch it live, you can download the event from Ustream later, when you’ve sobered up.

Like all marginal entertainment, HATE MAIL isn’t free. But it’s only $4.99, and a portion of that will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Hope you can make it!

Sick Sock

As you know, we’re cranking out new episodes every Tuesday, with all the speed and accuracy of an eight-year old in a Nike factory.

Unfortunately, the SockPuppet Flu has hit us hard over here, and we’re now a week behind.

The good news is, we’re feeling better and already hard at work on our next episode. And our special guest star is the completely delicious Kevin Michael Richardson, also known as “Cleveland Brown, Jr.” on The Cleveland Show and “Maurice” from Penguins of Madagascar (though I will always love him as “Openly Gator” from Queer Duck).

Thanks for your patience. We think this episode will either be especially good or especially surreal, depending on how much Nyquil we can get our hands on.

See you next week!

Sorry this one is so late, but we’re happy to bring you one last video before Christmas!

Next week, our special New Year’s episode will star Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche; the Emmy-winning stars of Pinky and The Brain!

And while I have your attention, Rob Paulsen is doing a live podcast tonight, and it will be streamed by our friends at UStream! Rob will be at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Theatre at 8:00 PM Los Angeles time (Less than an hour from now), talking with voiceover great (and Sockpuppet Theatre regular) Fred Tatasciore.

Happy Holidays, and thanks for supporting Sockpuppet Theatre!

Hey friends,

So we had this great idea to do a live Sockpuppet Theatre podcast on December 21st. I mean, yes, it’s the Friday before Christmas and everything, but it’s also the end of the world, so it’s not like anyone had plans.

Well, it turns out that many of our cast members did have plans. In fact, almost everyone is out of town, making this a very small cast party.

So we’ve decided to postpone our live Sockpuppet Theatre podcast until January. That way, if the world doesn’t explode, we’ll all have something to look forward to. Besides filing our taxes.

But there is some good news! Rob Paulsen will still be doing a live podcast at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Theatre this Friday, and he’ll be joined by voice-over legend Fred Tatasciore! And for the first time, Ustream will be streaming the Talkin’ Toons podcast live for your listening pleasure!

So head over to Ustream, and usher in the Mayan Apocalypse with two of the greatest voice over actors in the business!

I have 10 pairs of tickets to give away for Friday night’s Asockaplypse Now live podcast at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Theatre!

Members of the Sockpuppet Theatre cast will be reading scripts live, answering questions, and generally killing time until the earth explodes – JUST AS THE MAYANS FORETOLD

The first 10 people to respond to this email address will get a free pair of tickets, which you can pick up at the door. And after the show, you can eat and shop at Citywalk, and just drunkenly segue into the holidays. You know, if they happen.

If you’re not in L.A., you can hear the show streamed live by our friends at Ustream, for free!

Just added to the Sockpuppet Theatre cast:
Jeff Bennett (Jonny Bravo, Ben 10, Curious George)
Nolan North (Clone Wars, Assassin’s Creed, Star Trek into Darkness)
Sean Astin (Rudy, Lord of the Rings, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

In Los Angeles on December 21st? Don’t have plans for the end of the world? Join the cast of Sockpuppet Theatre at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club for our live podcast and Christmas show!

We’ll be doing a live reading of a new script, debuting a new video, taking questions and waiting for the earth to implode. And we’ll have some surprise guests, providing we can coax them out of their bunker.

Monday Bonus Episode

We have added a Monday Bonus Episode today, based on a thread found in the “Heated Debate” community on LiveJournal. It’s called IRRESPONSIBLE SLUTS, and stars April Winchell and Rob Paulsen. There is no cursing in this one, unless you consider the word “whore” cursing. In my family, it was a greeting.

Speaking of cursing, our own John Foley is now uploading safe-for-work versions of our more explicit videos to our YouTube channel. So if you liked the videos with cursing but didn’t want to share them with say, your pastor, now you can.

Visit our YouTube channel for all videos, and subscribe! You’ll see them there first.

We’ve also added three new new screen grabs to our Loose Threads section. Thanks to all of you who have been sending links and tips.

And thanks to everyone watching Sockpuppet Theatre. We really appreciate your support.

Sockpuppet Theatre has landed!

Sockpuppet Theatre is now live!

Every Friday, we’ll be bringing you a new episode of Sockpuppet Theatre, voiced by some of the greatest voiceover actors working today.

And next Monday, we’ll have a bonus episode! So bookmark us or sign up for our feed, and see it all! You can also subscribe on YouTube, and be alerted as soon as a new episode is uploaded.
